    Resetting Valve numbering in P&ID

I did it once, now I forgot how to do this....

as the subject, I have deleted a few valves and then added them back into the drawing, but there is a large gap in the automatic numbering.  I reset the numbering once, but I cannot remember how to do it again.

Anyone point me the right way?

    and Merry New Year everyone!

    John.

Configuration of TAG in the Project Setup, in the propertie of the tag enter to the format configuration (forth icon, first is to select properties of objects, second properties of drawing, third properties of project, and forth is format of selected propertie). And now go to part of autogenerate and reset the number.

Another way to change this option in only one drawing is press right button to one P&ID drawing and select "Drawing Autogen Propertie...)

i must be looking in the wrong spot still.  I cannot access any properties for the TAG field.

also I have tried changing the "drawing autogen Properties"  then "Audit project" and it does nothing.

I hate this,  I found it once, and said OH there it is... that makes sense.... but for the life of me I cannot find it again now.

    How about if you:

    1. Open the project manager

    2. Mark the drawing and right click to open a menu.

    3. Choose "Drawing autogen properties"

    Does that work?

    John,

There is a course handout from AU 2009 that might help:

    http://au.autodesk.com/?nd=class&session_id=5168

It has a very in-depth guide for configuring the autogeneration properties in Project Setup.

    Thank you,
