I am new to Plant 3D and the following error is shown when tagging a process line:

"Unable to retrieve tag format string for tag style: "Pipeline_Tag"

Can any one advise explain why this occurs and how to fix this please?

Hi,

I assume you try to Tag a pipe line segment in a P&ID drawing. the message looks to me as the "string" the complete Tag is made of uses properties which do not exist anymore.

Enter the "Project Setup" go to P&ID DWG Settings-->P&ID Class Definitions-->Engineering Items-->Lines-->Pipe Line Segments. In the section "Tag format" you should see "Pipeline Tag". Select it and then click on Modify to open the Tag format setup dialog. Then start checking if all the properties used in the Tag format do exist and are valid.

Appreciate your advice Carsten.

In the project set up details the default value was "blank" for the tag format on the primary line segment.

The "pipeline tag" was selected from the drop down list and applied.

The process line tag is now working correctly.
