Hello everyone. I have a doubt about three symbols that I have point out in the document of the DOE that I have already attached. I have been looking for instruments and valves in the AutoCAD P&ID tool palette, but I haven’t been able to find them. Maybe those three symbols are not included in the programme, and that’s why I’m not able to find them. I have the Students P&ID 2012 version.
Should I create three blocks in AutoCAD, and then add them to the AutoCAD P&ID data base? I am used to work with AutoCAD, and this is my first time with AutoCAD P&ID, so I can’t figure out another way of resolving that issue. I have done this before with two symbols which were in the P&ID DWG Settings, like the symbol number 26 (conductivity or salinity cell), but had no symbol, just was the name of the item with its properties. But the other elements are not included, or just I’m not able to find them.
I know the name of the symbols at least:
a) The red one is a current to pneumatic converter.
b) The orange one is an air line/ vent cover
c) And the blue is a solenoid valve (which is already in the tool palette), but I don’t know what the black triangle with the arrow is.
If somebody could help me I will appreciate that a lot. I haven’t gone to a course of AutoCAD P&ID, I have just read the manual, and I have seen some videos on youtube. I know that my level is very low, but I don’t know anyone else to help me with this. That’s why I am opening this message.
Regards, and Merry Christmas
David.
