    Control Valve (TAG & ANNOTATION)

    Hello everyone

Usually you can change settings for components like that you get the MessageDialog regarding entering the TAG right after placing or do this automatically. Similar with annotations, that its placed automatically right after inserting the component.

When i insert a control valve i can edit those settings yet it does not seem to have any impact. I want to insert a control valve yet not place the bubble for it nor prompting me for the TAG of it, is this even possible or is this hardcoded?

These settings can be adjusted inside project setup. If you go to:

P&ID Class Definitions ->Engineering Items -> Instrumentation -> Inline Instruments -> Control Valve

Click the "Edit Symbol" button and set the "Tagging prompt" option to "Not a tagged component."

That setting doesn't mean it can't have a tag assigned to it, you just have to do it manually. As for the instrument bubble the only workaround I've found is to press the escape key to skip the placement of the instrument bubble.

    Thank you,
