Hi All

is there away to cahnge the name of an already running project that contains P&IDs and data

Yes, is posible. You need:

1. Change the name of folder

2. Change the paths in Project.xml

3. Change description and name of project in all dcf files

Hi,

As Yury says in the previous post, it is possible to change the project name.

To edit the name in the DCF files you need to use an SQLite editor of some kind. There are various ones available to download online.

The table that contains the project name that needs to be edited is called "PnPProject".

Please note that doing the name change in this was is officially supported and the recommended way would be to create a new project using the required name and copy the drawings from the old project to the new project.

1. I could not find in the project PnPProject.dcf file in the project folder (Aurocad P&ID 2012)

I2. Is there an editor you would reccomend

You'll need to modify all the dcf files (iso, ortho and etc) inside the project (4 or 5 of them). Here's a couple of free editor which i recommends on my blog

PnP Project is not file of project folder. It's the table which stay in each dcf file. You need to open ProcessPower.dcf file with any SQLite editor and modify the table PNP Project.
