Has anyone tried migrating any projects that were started in '07, to '08, then migrated to '09 with any success?
I have spent over 40 hours working on several different existing projects with the same success; crash to desktop!
Well, I take that back, I have had some success. I have figured out how, after migrating through '08, to at least migrate (with the migration tool) into '09 without crashing. But that's only half the battle. Once the files are migrated and the Project Manager has the files listed, opening them is an act of faith. I don't know if I need to change religions or get some tea leaves and chicken bones to help me figure out this maze of confusion.
The other part of my limited success has been that after migrating to 09 I can at least open any of the files in Vanilla AutoCAD. During initial migration tests, the files would crash in both Vanilla and P&ID '09.
So what does this tell me now? Vanilla Acad is not necessarily the problem. And no one can tell me anything else.
