connecting pipelines

When I connect a pipeline to another perpendicular pipeline it will show "from" or "to" that pipeline and I cannot tag it with the pipeline tag separately. see attached, line 1022. A pipeline tag on one line forces the other line to have the same line number. I tried changing one line to primary, that didn't fix it. I was told the lines must be touching on a p&id drawing. If I go and move the end of the pipeline from the other pipeline it still keeps the same incorrect tag. I am new to P&IDs and to this program. Is there some way to fix this so I can tag separate lines separately? Thank you

The line number is a property of the line group. P&ID automatically groups
together lines that touch if they are compatible. You can put one of the
lines in its own group via the SLGROUPEDIT command and selecting Remove for
one of the two SLINEs. You can also reach this functionality via Right Click
Menu with an SLINE selected or via the toolbar.
