Is there a way to reset the colors of the pipeline segment. I have a project that started with the out of the box colors and layers names for the primary and secondary segments. Well we have now implemented our company standards and we use different colors and layers for these segment. I have made the changes for the new project and any new P&ID I draw the changes are accepted, but when I try to copy an old drawing from the first project, it comes in with the properties on the first projects. We updated a few lines manually and when I update that line for any reason, it goes back to the default color and layer name. It will not accept my changes. We would have to redraw 90 P&ID's. Please help.
Also i forgot to mention that when you us the quick select to filter out object using the "Object type" "Sline" and try to use the 2 properties "Graphical scale" and "Description", they do not seem to work. I tried every prossible search method and it would never give me a selection. This might also be something that might need some looking into. Or maybe i just don't know how to use the correct operators and values.
The Layer Translator may help with this task along with the CAD Standards check.
About Layer Translations
You can reorganize a drawing's layers to match a set of layer standards. For example, if you receive a drawing from a company that does not follow your company's layer standards, you can convert the drawing's layer names and properties to your company's standards. You can map layers in the drawing you are currently working on to different layers in another drawing or standards file, and then convert the current layers using those mappings. If the drawings contain layers of the same name, the Layer Translator can automatically change the properties of the current layers to match those in the other layers.
You can create a standards file to define common properties in order to maintain consistency throughout your drawing files. Standards define a set of common properties for named objects such as layers and text styles. You or your CAD manager can create, apply, and audit standards in drawings to enforce consistency. Because standards make it easier for others to interpret drawings, standards are particularly useful in collaborative environments, where many individuals contribute to the creation of a drawing.
Named Objects for Standards-Checking
I was able to verify that the quick select does not pick up on the P&ID Graphical style names. I wll submit this to the development team for analysis.
