We have some components (objects) that exist with a unique PnPID number in the database but they are not in any of the drawing in the project! Can somebody tell me how this can happen and how can I remove them from the database?
We are using Autocad P&ID 2010 with SP1. There are 52 diagrams in the project and there are almost 4000 recorded items.
I have tried with Audit and that do not help.
Search for previous post, auditproject should fix the problem.
Thanks for your response.
I know all about the audit project as the major projects carried out regularly. It does not solve this problem. I'm looking if there are others who have had the same problem with components contained in the database but not on any of the diagrams in the project.
We had the same problem with PID2010. After moving to ver2011 and then 2012 we haven't had such issues, seems like AUDITPROJECT works better with later versions.
You can delete objects directly from database using eg. SQLite Database Browser.exe but then we're on the thin ice.
So I'd recommend to move to current versions... (actually I'm amazed you can run such big project on PID2010... acc. to our experience PID2012 is the first one capable to large projects)

I am happy if auditproject is better than else in PID2012. And you are right about the versions. We are just about to upgrading to PID2012.
If the non existing objects is lines, probably its a zero length lines. Purge will fix this problem.
