Ghost objects in the data manager

I have several objects (valves, etc) I can see in my datamanager that do not exist in my drawing any longer. I have tried auditing both the drawing and the project, but they remain. They have PnPID numbers but not the mandatory tag numbers, which is how I noticed this in the first place. How can I remove them?

In AutoCAD Architecture (& MEP) there is a separate "Style Manager" in which you can purge the styles of pipes etc. I would suspect that there is a similar manager in P&ID in which you can purge (Purge All is separate from the styles purge).

thanks Hugh, but I don't think that's it. I did search through all available items that can be purged (using the 'purge' command brings up a window listing everything from linetypes to blocks that can be purged) but I don't see anything that would help with PID objects that have gone astray.

These are check valves, diaphragm valves, etc, that had been inserted into the drawing, but were deleted as the drawing evolved. They USE the styles you refer to, but themselves are a *record* in the drawing's db.

So they are dead and gone in the drawing, but remain as ghosts in the database...

BTW, I've also verified they aren't in a hidden layer... what next?

Auditing the project should remove orhaned records visible in the data
manager. Have you tried removing the drawing from the project and re-adding
it? Please note this exercise will break off-page connectors in the drawing.

Well, that was the worst idea ever... all my drawing objects and tags and EVERYTHING is now blocks or useless polylines
