I'm trying to place a check valve in a line and it automatically changes to a gate valve. I cannot substitue it in anyway to a check valve. I finally just had to insert a dumb check valve block. Anyone else have this problem?
is the symbol in the class (in Project Setup) still a check valve ? Maybe it was changed and the icon on the toolpalette still shows the old capture ?
Try to check the Normally field under HandValves class. Make sure it has a default value. If you set that property with null value, any valve in the drawing will be substituted with gate valve.
Yep, RR2013 is right. We had this same issue about a year ago and changing the symbol list value for hand valves to something other than null fixed the problem. I wish that symbol list wasn't automatically wasted on the "normally" property. It could be used for so many other things!
