AutoCAD P&ID 2008 I have three drawings which are nearly identical. Only difference is the component (equipment & instrumentation) numbering will be different. Why when I do a “save-as” does the new drawing lose all information in the data manager for the new drawing? None of the components are listed – the data manager for the new drawing is completely blank.

EZTCADSYS,

You might be able to get the data back by removing the copied drawing from
the project and adding it back in.

I asked one of the people more familiar with the product and she suggested
wblocking out the drawing you want to copy, creating a new empty drawing in
the project, and inserting, then exploding the wblock.
