Weird text display when plotting to PDF from AutoCAD

We have been getting kind of a strange text variation when we plot PDF from AutoCAD.

The text in our border varies between dark and darker when we plot a PDF vs. when we plot an CAD plot.

The text style we are using is Romant.shx, and it looks fine when plotting to bond.

The same text  varies from bold to very dark bold when plotting to PDF.

Does anyone have a fix for this.

    Thanks

You could try checking the pdf "plotter" font settings.

Fom the plot dialogue box, click properties, then custom properties, there are font handling settings there,

also check the edit font list.

I know I am reviving an old post, but since there doesn't seem to be a resolution, I'll share what worked for me.

In Adobe acrobat, look under preferences, under "page display" category (left margin), find and uncheck "Enhance thin lines" as it appears that this "feature" makes the pdfs look like a leaky pen plotter made the text (zoom in, and the text is fine).
