Trouble using Autocad Mech 6 Power Pack

Hi all,

I hope someone here can help me. I have 2 computers with AM6 PP installed.
One seat works fine. The other seat has had trouble from the start. Acad
2002 works fine but if he tries to run Power Pack, none of the PP apps work.
They all give "unknown command" prompts when he tries to access them by
either the toolbar or the command line. We have tried re-installing AM6PP
but that didn't work. I have run the XPMenuFix.exe already and that didn't
make a difference. We are running XP Pro.

any clues?

Thanks

Hi!

I had the same problem with one of our customers.
The only thing that helped was to deinstall and clear everything in the
registry that belongs to MDT by hand. After a new install everything works
fine.
BTW after a deinstall the registry is NOT clean!

Thanks. I was hoping for something less painful

Just to follow up:

I unistalled ACAD M6PP, went through the register, removed every reference
to ACADM6 and R15, and rebooted.

I then re-installed ACADM6PP and everything is working smoothly.

I just didn't want to go through with it because I have a rather lengthy
File support path...

Thanks

It sounds like your support paths got screwed up. If you have stuff there thats
hard to reset manually, you might want to look at exporting those registry keys
(once everything is working well). Then if you need to uninst/reinst, you can
merge in the keys with 3 or 4 mouse clicks, and have that portion of your
customization back in place.
