Is there any way to open Mechanical Desktop 2008 drawings in AutoCadd 2012 and edit them?  I no longer have the Mechanical Desktop 2008 program.

You can open the drawing but cannot edit them. You can follow the link below to download AutoCad Mechanical Desktop 2009 if you still want to edit them.

Micheal I tried to install the program on my computer but kept getting a fatal error (I have attached the log file)

Any suggestions???

Hi,

You need to preinstall inventor 2009 or later versions so you can install MDT 2009.
