AutoCAD mechanical 2012 issue with associative array

Hi

We have an issue with the new array function in AutoCAD Mechanical 2012.

When doing an array of a part from the content library the user is informed that the associative array function won't work. This is unfortunate, but we can live with it. We hope it might be working in the future. However once accepting that it wont work on parts from the content library the associatice array function stops working entirely.

How do we turn this back on again?

Also the array function doesn't work when editting a block with refedit. This is also a big issue at our office.

Hi,

You can enable associative by selecting "Associative" option at the time of array creation.

E.g.. Command array>>Select the object>>Type of array>>Rect>>Count>>Rows>>Columns>>Spacing>>Distance between rows and columns>>Select "AS" >>Enter YES for "Create Associative array"

Associative array is blocked within Refedit.  This is "As Designed".  You may use arrayclassic command in refedit mode.

Please install AutoCAD Mechanical 2012 Service Pack 1 to use arrayclassic command.
