AutoCAD Mechanical 2010 compatibility with AutoCAD LT 2012

I wish to send an AutoCAD Mechanical 2010 *.dwg file to someone who uses AutoCAD LT 2012. Will they be able to open the file as is, or do I need to save as another drop down file type?

Yes, the one who is using LT 2012 should not have problem to open and view objects with AutoCAD Mechancial 2010 dwg format but they cannot edit mechanical intelligent objects in LT.
