Unhandled Access Violation Errors

Hello,

My collegue is experiencing some difficulties with a certain drawing. Ofcourse i tried recovering and auditing the drawing, but the problem remains.

Here are the errors generated to the acad.err file:

FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0001 Exception at 7c011898h

FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0005 Exception at 7c011898h

FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Writing 0x49e00004 Exception at 7c011924h

If it helps we could send the drawing to one of you Autodesk helpers, just let me know.

He already restarted ACAD 25 times today and we're not half-way through the day...

Regards,

SBuurma

Please have your collegue submit the crash report for each crash. In
addition, please remember in the crash report dialog to bring up the
optional data dialog and fill out the user email address. With that
information we can locate the reports you are generating to see what might
be going wrong. Without the email address in the report there is no way we
can identify the specific reports being generated by your collegue.

The problem is, that it won't even show the crash dialog for most of the crashes. I've said to him to submit the next dialog he encounters.

After a series of narrowing down the problem...we discovered that the errors somehow are caused by the user-profile.

So we backed up the current profile and deleted it from the workstation, so that it would generate a complete new profile...re-set all toolbars etc. And the errors are gone.

Still a bit odd, but in the end glad to have found it.

Regards
