Triming Steel Shapes In The Content Library

Is it at all possible to trim beams inserted from the content library? I dont need the overall length shorter, I just need to cut angles. I could explode but that defeats the whole purpose.

Hi,

You may copy the standard content to custom content folders.

Command: amcontentmanager>>From the standard content, select the required component>>Right click and Copy>>Select Custom content>>Create a new folder if required>>Paste the copied content.

Right click on the copied custom content >>edit the content and make necessary changes wrt to the geometry.

Please refer help for more info on custom content.

Thanks,

It doesn't seem like the most efficient method, but form what I've tried it seems like the only one. Thanks.

It would be nice if a Trim function operating the same as the Hide Situation was included. It would make it a lot easier to detail steel work.

That or be able to chamfer/fillet. It could be way more efficient.
