Structure will not allow a parametric object

Does anyone know why ACAD Mechanical will not allow the use of a parametricly created object as a component?

Example 1: Create a rectangle with "Infer Constraints" turned on. In Structure, select the right-click menu entry "New - Component" & attempt to select the rectangle you just made. Response from ACADM is that the Entity is not allowed.

Example 2: Go to Structure Tab & select "Quick Component". Activate "Top:" & attempt to draw a parametric rectangle. Structure strips the parametric information from the rectangle.

It seems as though the two best parts of Mechanical are mutually exclusive...

Does anyone have a solution?

Hello,

Unfortunately this is a known limitation in AutoCAD Mechanical. Structure will filter out parametric objects.

I've logged this request as a wish item that we may consider in future.
