Snap Spacing

Is there a bug for Snap Spacing?
Changing the Snap Spacing (snapunit) to a new value, 1 and save as a template.
Add this new dwt as my qnew.
Starting a new dwg from qnew button the Snap Spacing is 2.5.
If I choose the dwt from new, the Snap Spacing is 1, as I have set in the dwt.
Strange... Any idea?

In addition to Snap Spacing overriding to 2.5, Grid spacing overrides to 10.

This issue still exists in 2012 (at least Mechanical).

Please fix this. It's minor but it's really annoying.

Same issue also in Mechanical 2014.

I've tryed to use a lisp to set the variable to 1 but it doesn't work.
I use the string (setvar "snapunit" 0.1,0.1) but it doesn't recognise the value.

Same issue applies to lots of scaling (amhatch for example)
