SP2 Install Mechanical 2012

Today we installed SP2 on a single workstation to test fix a problem we are having accross our 300+ installs.   Worked great so far.  We have a common template file shared to user stations.   there is a list of files and help readme for the service pack.     My question(s) is: do the additional variables that are talked about for SP2; SNAPGRIDLEGACY ARRAYCLASSIC  SNAPGRIDLEGACY get put into our company template and when do they or how do they for users.    Do I need to edit the template so they the user's template copy gets updated?

Are there any users that have seen any particular issues after applying SP2.    I post here as but not sure if the AutoCAD side of Mechanical might be appropriate too.

In regards to your inquiry, the ARRAYCLASSIC command  and SNAPGRIDLEGACY system variable will be updated once the service pack 2 is installed onto the workstation.  These are included within the service pack, and therefore there should be no need to update your template.

It appears that one is a variable and the other is a command.   I do not know exactly when they are applied.

I don't find that my help is updated with the SP2 but we have choosen not to have the help files updated via internet to avoid user changes to our configuration.    So I can't even see if SNAPGRIDLEGACY is drawing file or profile/registery based.   I tried the SYSVDLG bonus command and it doesn't have either.

I found in 2013 that SNAPGRIDLEGACY is saved in the registry.   Probably why I didn't see a change in the template.  So now the question is our copy of the AutoCAD profile on the networks that is copied to the local workstation.  Do I need to update that profile so the copies that are made to our local user workstations don't have to be addressed?.

Sorry I'm a stiker for detailed understanding.

You are correct, the ARRAYCLASSIC is a command and SNAPGRIDLEGACY is a variable.  When this service pack (SP2) is installed onto a workstation, the command and variable listed above will be installed along with the SP2.  There should be no need for you to edit or update your templates to accomidate the command and variable in question.

SYSVDLG (Systems Variable Editor) is an "Express Tools" command.  This function does not work with AutoCAD Mechanical.  It is actually a known issue and a change request has been logged with our development team.
