Importing BOM items error

I am trying to import BOM items and it is giving me the following error:

"Cannot get value. Exception occurred: 'Item not found in this
collection.'"

It repeats this error message for every item in the BOM table (in this case
MS Access). I exported the BOM from Iinventor 10. I am using ACADm 2005.

What are the requirements for importing a BOM? Do all of the fields have to
match up? Of course how could you know this because IT'S NOT IN THE HELP
FILE!!

Thanks
Jim

There must be a mismatched of columns definition in your existing bom table
and the excel/mdb file you are trying to import.

If possible, we would be grateful if you can posted a copy of the excel/mdb
file and the host drawing to facilitate further analysis the case.

Thanks.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the documents.
According to our analysis, the issue has been resolved in the later version
of the application (Autocad Mechanical 2006).

Prior to release 2006, there is a stricter rule for bom import. You have to
make sure your list of Bom Column value (Bom properties->Column) matching
exactly the importing tables first column key value. It is advisable to
import only excel/mdb tables that had been exported by Autocad Mechanical
application itself.

Nevertheless, having said so, just make sure your key values matched exactly
the Key Column value in the bom Properties and all the values should be
properly get imported, although you may still see some error message.
