Copy array items

Hi

when I copy a grope of items that was created in array from one layer to another layer

the status of the grope changes to the new layer , but the color stays like the origin layer

the array grope was created. Why?

I use AutoCAD mechanical 2014 student

The dynamic array (if you do not use arrayclassic) is basically a dynamic block: the block is moved to the new layer - the parts inside are not.

You could try setting everything to "by block" before array-ing them.

Additionally: watch it with array, most Mechanical functionality can't deal with it. (partrefs inside a dynamic block are ignored for example).
