Calculation of the moment of interia

All,

I want to calculate the axial moment of inertia (X- and Y-axis directly) instead of the principal moment of inertia with AutoCAD Mechanical 2012.

Is there a way to do this with ACAD Mechanical 2012?

Thank you!

Regards

       Daniel

If you have a figure (section profile) drawn, first use the REGION command to make it into a region, and then you could use the MASSPROP command to calculate the moments of inertia (second moments of inertia), and many more properties of a section such as area, center, bounding box, etc.
