Browse and Attach

Hello,

Is there a way to do a browse and attach in Mechanical 2013, like what was possible using the assembly catalog in MDT 2009. 

Using Mechanical Desktop 2009, then using the desktop browser we would go to the assembly catalog and do a browse and attach to reference another drawing, so when the referenced drawing was edited it would automatically update in the drawing in which that part was attached.

Other than using XREF is there a way to do something similar to doing a browse and attach?

Hi 

AutoCAD Mechanical don't have similar workflow like MDT assembly catalog.

However, you may browse and attach a different drawing's BOM using AMPARTREF>>Attach workflow.

Also, using Structure Catalog, you can externalize an assembly.  When the external assembly updates, it notifies in the host file which is similar to XREF workflow.
