Beep Sound in 2004 mechanical

I get an annoying beep (not just on an error) when using AutoCAD(R) 2004 Mechanical.

I would like to have the beep to notify when e-mail arrives so I don't want to turn it off sounds all together.

Any suggestions as to how I can turn this off for AutoCAD only?

Dave,

Try going into OPTIONS and on the System tab uncheck the box labeled 'Beep
on error in user input' located on the middle right of the dialog.

For emails there is this wave file. Put it ant director you want and the go
to control panel sound setting and set it up. You wont get confused any more
just distracted.

Found this section the box "Beep on error in user input" was unchecked, but we are still getting the beep occurring very frequently
