Autocad shows error in Mechanical

Hi,

I have drawing, that is throwing the following error in AutoCAD Mechanical

"One error was found in the drawing file during open. Would you like to cancel this open?"

When i audit the same drawing no errors are found.

Also this drawing is opening with out error in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map3D.

Can anyone suggest me the solution

Most likely you have been saving down instead of saving in "native" format?

We had the same trouble caused by users in Mechanical 2013 saving down to 2012 when 2013 hadn't been fully rolled out yet.

I think the issue has to do with regular autocad having the 2013 format for 2013 to 2015 while mechanical has made changes to the dwg format in each of these releases.

As a general rule: save "native". It'll avoid these issues, and make sure your drawing will retain all its features.
