AutoCAD Icons and short cuts

Please can someone give me some advise.

Somedays when i am working in AutoCAD, I have problems with the tool icons & the keyboard shortcuts.

When i click on the icon or type in the shortcut and press enter it comes up with an error.

eg. _amrectang Unknown command "AMRECTANG".  Press F1 for help.

or Unknown command "O".  Press F1 for help.

I don't understand why there is an issue.

It all worked fine yesterday.

Are you working on pure AutoCAD or running AutoCAD Mechanical? Are there customizations you have made on the product? Like customized CUI or profiles?

HI,

I am running AutoCAD Mechanical.... From what I understand it was a standrard installation.

I don't know what a CUI is & I don't know how to change that or profiles....

Unless it it something I could have done by accident?

Hi,

If you are using 2012 or 2013 release, you can try to Reset settings to default from Start menu->all programs->AutoCAD Mechanical.

If you use earilier product, maybe you can try to do a repair or reinstall to see if the issue goes away.
