ACM 13--"not responding" delay when plotting from a network drive

acad mechanical 13

two identical drawings, one in my C drive the other in a network drive

the one in C opens the plot dialog imidiatly but the one in the network drive

goes into "not responding" for about 10 sec before opening the dialog box

is there a fix for this?

ps--the drawings open imidiatly from both drives, only when plotting this problem shows up

ps2--the drawing was converted from acad 2004

thanks    Al

Hi,

Does this issue happen to any drawing or some particular drawing? If it happens to some drawings, could you please send me the drawing to zhiyuan.su@autodesk.com for further look?

also, how have you configured your settings in Plotter? Are you using printer or plot styles from a network drive?

Thanks.

Michael

It happens to all 5500 drawings but not when they are in my c drive.

The plot style is in my c drive, also if I use publish, this does not happened.

I'm sending the dwg as requested

thanks

Al

Sorry about the late response.

I tried your attached dwg and open it from network drive and then plot it to PDF and real Plotter. Both work fine.

When you see it's not responding, is it hanging there? If you wait for a while, is it still not responding?

Thanks.

Usually hangs on "not responding" from 15 to 40 sec. and then plots, it doesn't matter if is to a plotter or pdf, then resumes normally.

Again, this does not happen from my C drive.
