I am just wondering how to print the attribute from a shapefile that is attched to drawing using data connect.
I can see the attrubute on the preview but it is not printing.

I am having the same problem. Even got the point to where the dynamic text quite showing up completely. Here is what I have learned.
Dynamic text can be converted into Mtext. Go to the Annotate tab then to the Text tab. From there you can convert all dynamic text to Mtext.
Once this is done, the text will no longer behave as Dynamic text and will not act as it had before with your scale ranges.
This is the best way to control the text when going to plot.
