Use table object to display linked table

I am wanting to use an Autocad table object to display fields from an Access database table that is linked to symbols in my drawing.

My objective is create a database table that has detailed notes for call outs in my drawings and then link my call out blocks to the database table and display the blocks and linked descriptions in an Autocad table. If the notes in the database table are edited the Autocad table updates with the new the description from the database.

    Hi Neil,

I have not yet come across a way to do this with access, but if you use the "table" command, you have the option to use a link to an external Excel table.  I can't test this, unfortunately, because I don't have Excel loaded locally, and it won;t let you do anything without that.

As a work around, I believe that you can export an Access Table to an Excel format, and then use the excel table as a data link and make an AutoCAD table based on that link.

    Hope that helps.
