I am new to 2012 MAP 3D and I am working on a utility map with water valves and hydrants. I collected my points with a Trimble unit and converted them to shape files. I am unable to snap to these points, does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can use snap to draw my water mains from point to point?

note that you don't have to mapimport to osnap to a point in a shp - just snap to the node of the point. Either set it through the snap settings or shift-right click & use the popup menu.

realized. the point is if you can snap to the cad point but not the node of the shp geometry which should be coincidal, there is a problem with snap settings that needs to be tended to.
