    Object Data Attachments

    Hello
2 questions re Object Data Attachments
    1) We want to attach dwg files as documents to object data but find that this method launches another session of AutoCAD. Is it possible to have this drawing file open in the current session?
    2) Similarly we are attaching Word Documents to object data but the document fails to open because there are spaces in the path name. Is there a setting that controls spaces in path names or do we have to change our directory names?

    Many thank for any answers,

Would a simple hyperlink work better for
    you in either situation?

Tried that, so next question is,
with pickfirst set to 1 and both hyperlink
options checked on how do I pull up the
hyperlink menu (the hyperlink attach worked fine)

    Thanks

Hi,  Did you try enclosing the path
in double quotes. I remember it worked for me some time back..

Select the object, right click, and it should be at
the bottom of your right click menu, unless you have right click configured to
repeat the last command, then I am not sure.

I think I have sorted this.
Pickfirst needs to be 1, both
hyperlink boxes need to be ticked
and then tick on the Windows Standard
Behaviour option for Shortcut Menus in
Drawing Areas. The Hyperlink menu then
appears as part of the short cut menu.
