Hello all,

I'm still learning Map. I tried out the evaluation copy. We bought a Land Desktop3 with Map. Does the Map in Land desktop3 have full functionality as that of Autodek Map R5? In terms of Oracle functionality, can it also support the Oracle polygon extension?

Yes, The Map in LDDT3 has the same full functionality as Autodesk Map 5.

Hi Benjie, LDD has the complete
functionality of Map 5 including Oracle Spatial but, Oracle and Polygon
extension can only be installed on Map 5 and not on the Map which is a part of
LDD.

Is there any patch I can use to install the oracle polygon extension in LDD? I need the functions of the extensions since I will be using Land and engineering Information served in Oracle in GIS analysis.

Any suggestions. I don't want to buy Map5 again just for this purpose.

Hi Ben,

There are no patches available which will
enable Land Desktop to have the functionalities of Advanced Extension of Map
5.
