How do you quickly copy or otherwise attach an object data table (object data) from one object in a drawing to another object using Autodesk Map 6?

This seems to do exactly what I want...what a timesaver! I don't understand why Autodesk makes it so hard to find this kind of info (which is pretty basic as far as I'm concerned) in their on-line help or manuals.
