Addind a raster image locks up Autocad Map 2012

I've rebooted, re-installed and nothing changes the fact that when i try and insert a raster image the program locks right up.

I can go back 2009 version and have no problems inserting the same raster.

Anyone have any solutions or experience the same problem?

the raster is a Mr.Sid format file

    Hi,

I'm not Autodesk, but I miss some info of what you have tried yet :smileywink:

    • Have you tried to convert the file to e.g. a TIFF-format, does it then also hang up?
    • What command did you use to reference the image?
    • Have you setup a coordinate-system for your drawing? Have you  tried to insert the image when another coord-sys is assigned to your drawing
    • Have you tried to insert the image into another drawing?
    • Have you installed the latest service-packs for Map3D?
    • Have you tried to start Map3D with another profile (or with another Windows user-account) to mmake sure it's not specific to your current AutoCAD-profile?
    • Have you tried to toogle hardware-acceleration?

...or what did you try up to now?
