Hi,
I am new to AutoCad and I have been asked to make a 3D geology map of a pit. I have the pit design dxf imported in ac3d and want to map on it. Can I make 3D polylines? Can I draw polylines of geologic features and snap then to elevation contours of the pit design to give them Z dimensions? Does anyone have any experience making 3D geology maps in ac3d? Any help, tips, or tutorials that would help me out with this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

With Autocad, nothing's impossible, sir.
Unfortunately I don't know what do you mean about "pit", so please upload a couple of screenshots, thanx.

Its an open pit at a mine. The dxf is basically just a topographic map of a big hole the the ground. Thanks

To boreholes, use the civil 3D - Borehole Import
