query definition is empty

If I use Boundary Trim on some normal 2D lines and polylines in an new drawing based on map2Diso.dwt and then switch to a layout, AutoCAD Map 3d 2013 gives me the message "query definition is empty". Don't know why or how to get rid of it, but it is really bothering us.

Who can give me a hint?

Does it occur only using the "map2Diso" template, or with other .DWTs as well..?

It doesn't seem to matter what template I use.

If you start from scratch (no template, empty drawing) add a couple of lines, then apply _MAPTRIM and switch to layout: what happens?

This time, after starting with no template metric, the message appears directly after the MAPTRIM command ended.

Open a Sample drawing, e.g. CHROMA.DWG, draw something and _maptrim it: what's goin' on?

Ideas over, I cannot reproduce your issue to solve it: seems like you gotta reinstall Map3D, sir.

Thanks for your help. Reinstalling won't solve this. Several colleagues are experiencing the same issue.

Hi,

I can reproduce this on my MAP 2013 64bit French.

Just launch MAPTRIM command and press Esc on keyboard produces an alert message "La définition de requête est vide."

I thinks that generates no error just bad info.

Sorry to say, same happens on my Map3D 2014 German.

But as Olivier already stated, I see that as just a message without any negative impact to the drawing.

I try the URL: http://geoservices.brgm.fr/geologie and it work for me with 2015.

Can you please let me know which OS you are using and it could be helpful to get the build number.

To get the build just type (map_build) to the command line and enter, please send me the result.

I would be also interesting if Map 2015 is always installed on the same PC as Map 2014.

command _MAPTRIM and then switching to layout1 does show the same message in the German release of Map3D 2015 too ... and yes, on that workstation I have installed Map3D 2014 too.

But I don't understand what you like to achive with the link to the WMS-server?

sorry, the last post is referring to the WMS issue; I wasn't fast enough to remove it.

But for the "Maptrim" issue I search in our database and can't find any documentation.

So I will perform some additional tests and log it to our development team for further investigation.

BTW: the message mentioned here is not beautiful, but at least it does not influence the work process or the data, so the WMS-problem, or other problems like MAPFEATUREMERGE failures (>>>click<<<) have to have a higher priority!

I agree, it is only warning, but should give more information about the reason.

This issue has been raised to the development team for investigation.

I agree also that the other issue is more important and will work on this.
