Greetings,
I would like to utilise the Layout Element: Reference System to draw the grid lines and grid values on paper space viewports.
But.
I am working in South Africa. The WGS Lo systems are opposite to the northern hemisphere, positive is heading south not north. To solve this, most drawing offices (including ours) just reverse the signs of X and Y values.
Now you can see why I cannot use the Layout Element Reference System templates provided with Map. I need to change sign the X and Y text values.
How do I create a Reference System Template?
These are provided with Map:
Latitude-Longitude
Military Grid Reference System
United States National Grid
Custom map coordinate system
I tried to use 'Custom map coordinate system' but it is a fixed template, it does not provide change sign as needed.
Thanks,
All the best to all, Always,
Kevin.

Aha!
I found the files, under:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D 2014\R19.1
Now I just need to figure out how to modify it to what I need.
the solution needs to be set somewhere in here:
<LabelStyle>
<Format>HostPrec</Format>
<Direction>Aligned</Direction>
<Offset>0.15</Offset>
<TextStyle>
<Font>Arial</Font>
<Height>0.1389</Height>
<Color>ff000000</Color>
</TextStyle>
</LabelStyle>
probably the Format field ??
From the options you listed, you might not be in the full Coordinate Library. Try the command MAPCSLIBRARY, and you'll see the LO options that should work for you, with all the relevant zones defined.
Swapping X and Y manually is a bit risky (what if the next guy forgets!), so I'd suggest using the query options and assigned coordinate systems to perform automatic CS tranforms.
