help with data from the USGS site

Can anyone tell me how to get transportation data from USGS web site http://viewer.nationalmap.gov/viewer/ in map 2013.  I download the transportation data and extracted it to a folder but I don't know how to get this format into map, it all extracted to a folder called bp176917.gdb and there are about 400 files in this folder.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

When you selected your area, was Shapefile an option?  I'm trying it now (in my area) and there are three options.

[ ] File GDB 9.3.1

[ ] Personal GDB 9.31

[ ] Shapefile

For the path of least resistance you might want to choose the Shapefile option.

We (DotSoft) are currently working on a FileGDB import/export tool.

No just the top two, I've tried all parts of the county and all I ever get is two, never the shapefile option.

While I'm not an expert on this, it appears that USGS supplied GDB files are in a format prior to 10.x and you may need ArcGIS to open or convert it.  My query today says it's "File GeoDatabase 9.31 v102" in the email from the USGS.
