I am running C3D 2009 with Map

Either export to SDF then convert it to shp format or export it to AutoCAD
dwg format then use the map export tool.

In Civil 3D, with the menus, File > Export > Export Civil Objects to SDF.
The map export does not work with civil 3d objects you have to use the
export C3D objects to SDF.

The sta and ticks are in the style used for that alignment, not a part of
the alignment that gets exported. That's where you need to convert the C3D
objects to a standard AutoCAD dwg then use the map export to create a point
type sdf/shp file.

How so? One is a design software the other a simple geospatical infomation software file format.

It is over complicated as C3D has always been marketed for its integration with GIS through Map3D and alignments are barely more complicated than 2d polylines.

Hi,

I don't know any GIS-system that can store or handle curves/spirals of type Clothoid or Bloss, do you now any single system that can do that? Then please let me know which one that is!
