WMS - USDA NAIP Imagery

Has anyone had success with connecting to the NAIP WMS service (ArcGIS)?  See http://www.fsa.usda.gov/FSA/apfoapp?area=home&subject=prog&topic=nai for information.

If possible, I'd like to use the WMS to get the aerial imagery beneath our projects so I don't have to download from the seamless map server and store image files locally for "proposal" documents.

Running 64-bit C3D 2011 on Win7 Professional. - I know this runs into the differences of 32bit ArcGIS connections versus 64bit, but curious to see if anyone's had success and how it works for you - is it worth the headache?

Thx!

not my favorite solution, as you have to manually set the settings in E$RI & Map/C3D, but you can try the ArcGIS Autocad plugin build 250...

This is what I have been told from a friend from with in Autodesk.

I just found this You Tube video done by Autodesk that describes the SDE connection -  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbHafoiHZxg

At this point images through an SDE connection are not supported.

It is also my understanding that the USDA NAIP does not have it set up to support WMS. I was told to contact them to see about getting that set up. I have not heard back from them as of yet. You may want to try also.

Thanks Much!

The alternate route will allow streaming and then 1-click capture a tif that it has georeferenced in the dwg....  matches up to importgeimage w/o the "single photo radial falloff effect"

I'll put in a request as you mention - squeaky wheel & all that...

Merry Christmas, all!

I think I used the following link in the WMS FDO Connection -- I don't think it worked real well.

http://raster.nationalmap.gov/arcgis/services/Orthoimagery/USGS_EDC_Ortho_HRO/ImageServer/WMSServer

I got the above linke from the following web page and then Clicked on NAIP and then clicked get link and the http address was in the page that popped up.
