Unable to establish a connection to provider

I am trying to access GIS data on ArcSDE via OSGeo FDO Provider. It returns an error message:

Unable to establish connection to provider.

FDO Provider entry point function 'CreateConnection' returned NULL.

I am using a windows 7 64bit computer. The same connection is husle free on a windows 7 32bit computer.

See attached screen shot

Any ideas???

Do a search in here for SDE connections, it's a 64bit to 32 bit issue.

You've hit the nail on the head - 64-bit DLL's not published by E$RI....

Learn somethin new every day 🙂

Note that AD can't sanction "free" distribution as the .DLL's are licensed by E$RI, so techically you need licensed software to use (now that the techincal's out of the way...)
