I sometimes have to deal with dxfs at work.. Autocad opens the files fine but once i have made the changes instead of just saving the darn file it asks me to overwrite it (same format btw) and then tells me i can't because somebody (autocad must be too stupid to realize who that person is) has the file open... no sh!t sherlock.... anyways... i just thought someone might know something about this.... man has this program gonna the heck in a handbasket since 2008

Is that .DXF locally stored or somewhere in the network?

What happens if you simply "save as" using another DXF name?

Take it locally, and try again, just to exclude Lan issues.
