Saving a drawing file in Map 3D 2009

Recently I have not been able to use the 'save as' command. Normally it brings up the browse window and you can select the location you want to save the file. Now instead of the window a text box appears at my cursor with the file location written in text format. So if I want to save it to another location I have to type in the location manually. Any thoughts on why this might be happening or what I can do to get my window back up?

Press the Esc key twice then type in FILEDIA
press enter then 1 enter.
