Raster Extension Options > Memory

I am having a problem with the memory limit setting. I am setting my
memory limit to be 2056 MB, but it will not keep the setting. I can
change it and get a message stating that the change will not work until
I restart Civil 3D (Map 3D). When I do that, it goes back to a 204 MB
limit instead of the 2 GB I want.

How can I get Civil (Map) to remember this setting?

Doesn't work. It doesn't matter what I set it to, Civil (Map) resets it
to a strange number. This time is 206.4275 MB. I didn't have this
problem before, but now when I need to insert a large MrSid that is 2.5
GB this 200 MB limit is making it impossible to do any work. In fact, it
is taking almost 3 minutes just to open a drawing I've opened before in
about 15 seconds.

I'm watching the task manager memory of acad.exe and it went from ~280
MB down to ~20 MB, then climbed up to around 90 MB. I have no idea
what's going on as I haven't changed anything on my system. This same
drawing used to make acad.exe take up to 1.3 GB of RAM, now it's not
doing that. I don't get it and I've got a deadline for Wednesday before
the holiday starts to get this map out.

ARGH.

OK, now I can't plot anything with raster images. Civil (Map) is
refusing to use more than 204 MB of memory for raster images and I get a
message saying that AutoCAD is running out of memory. I'm using Windows
7 Pro 64-bit, so it should be using up to 4 GB before I run out of memory.

I've restarted Civil and it didn't fix it. I reset the computer and
that didn't do it either. What the heck is going on?

Have you cleaned out the users temp folder and the map cache folder?

I started a SR and got a reply. The Raster Memory limit has a max
setting of 2047 MB. You cannot try a higher number or it will reset it.
It would have been nice if the software gave a warning about that
instead of just letting me pick it and then resetting it every time.

Also, I knew about RASTERTHRESHOLD and RASTERPERCENT, but I did not know
that RASTERTHRESHOLD could go above 100. I set it to 150 and my plot
worked.
