Problem with installation with MAP 2000i

I have a problem with installation of MAP 2000i.
I try to install on a computer with W2K with service pack 2, all appear
normal and standard, but one thing is not standard:
the system volume is mapped like F: and not with C:, i don't know how
and why the customer make this.
The problem is :
when the setup program have finished to collect information for
installation it stop with a generic error message

Unrecoverable error
Stopped due to an error

Is the F: letter of partition? or maybe some conflict with other
application?
Is the first time that append to me!

Paolo,
I would suggest performing a complete uninstall of map 2000i
http://support.autodesk.com/getdoc.asp?id=TS45252 and then reinstall to the
default drive (c).

Paolo,

you're right, Win2K doesn't allow to assign another drive letter for the system
partition once the operating system is installed and running.
Hence, I'd recommend to re-format the machine with the default partition settings
and then re-install Map. The question how to uninstall would be obsolete then 🙂

And I'm sure that will prevent you also from having similar problems with other
applications.
