Has anybody here successfully connected to MySQL in Map 2008? After copying
the libMySql.dll into the FDO directory I am able to connect, but whenever I
try to edit the default schema, I get a notice "RDBMS: Lost connection to
MySQL during query". If i leave the default schema alone, it seems to work,
but isn't very useful. Anybody else experience this or know a way around
it?

I asked about this some time ago and got the answer that "You cannot edit or delete any schema, feature class, or property if there are existing features that use it." so I guess that you are out of luck.

There are no existing features using the schema - I am starting with a blank
drawing & I am trying to modify the schema that was created initially so
that I can do something useful with it. Every time I try to modify the
schema, AutoCAD seems to lose it's connection with the database. Looks like
they need to let this one bake for a little while longer...
