Mapbook Template

Trying to create a Map Book with a template I have already created. However AutoCad will not recognize my template's title block. This is how I came across the error:

-Went to task pane.

-Clicked Map Book.

-Right Clicked on New >> Map book.

    -Clicked Sheet Template.

-Clicked "..." to select my template.

-Used Drop down menu to selected Layout.

    -Under Layout options.

        -Checked "Include a title block."

-Used drop down menu to select the block I had made in the template.

        -Set Scale Factor to 100.

-Set up Tiling Scheme and Naming Scheme how it normally works for me.

-Set "None" for Legend and Key.

-Set "Create New" for Sheet Set.

    -Clicked Generate.

-Following Error message pops up:  "Invalid Setting Found, Template layout does not have title block specified."

What did I do wrong?

Hi, i've had this problem some time ago. And i found that before you select a map book template, you need to identify the placeholders.

-First open your template

-Go to the MAP BOOK  tab in the Task pane

-press the TOOLS button and then choose IDENTIFY TEMPLATE PLACEHOLDERS

-A little window will appear, there you must choose the title block line and select it in the layout.

-Then you save it as a template (maybe you will need to choose here the main viewport that will show the map)

Sorry for my english, i hope this helps
